Opening: Senior AFRL-RS Program Manager

Summary

• Coordinates with AFRL/RS Program Managers to track cost, schedule, and performance metrics for various programs. • Gathers necessary security information for contractor support documentation. • Engages with Portfolio and Financial Managers to discuss and manage program Spend Plans’ • Ensures schedules are executable and meet financial management requirements. • Assists in the collection and preparation of materials for Program Manager Reviews (PMRs) • Participates in technical meetings, conferences, and deep dives to gain insights into government gap solutions and program management needs. • Supports the documentation and record-keeping processes to ensure compliance with relevant Air Force Instructions (AFIs) related to Science and Technology (S&T) and Research and Development (R&D) work unit records. • Collaborates with government and technical teams to aid in the determination of the technical direction of programs • Ensures that all program documentation is accurately uploaded to AFRL’s Records Management Portal • Fields questions from technical support staff and clients; recommends solutions to customer/end-user issues. • Compiles status and work-volume reports for management. • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of research product information. • Performs technical support staff duties as needed. • May provide day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates • Keeps up to date on the overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in related field or equivalent

Experience

• Three to five years related experience or equivalent.

Clearance

Requires a minimum Secret clearance to support the management of DoD-related programs.
