Summary

The Activity Security Representative (ASR) role is focused on providing multi-disciplined security support for Collateral Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. The ASR plays a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of sensitive information and operations.

Responsibilities

• Focuses on security protocols, document control, and the ability to manage and support classified information and activities within a secure environment. • Performs the destruction of classified materials • Processes magnetic media and maintains logs for various administrative functions related to document control. • Assists with the processing of inbound and outbound data transfer files, classified mail, and facility access control badges, as well as maintaining personnel security files. • Conducts entry and exit inspections. • Supports security awareness and education programs. • Assists with miscellaneous administrative tasks as directed. • Reviews, tracks, and monitors security clearance processing activities to ensure appropriate actions are taken • Prepares and processes classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and Program Access Requests (PARs). • Provides support for Video Teleconferencing (VTC), including scheduling, connectivity, and troubleshooting, as well as maintaining conference room schedules and coordinating with external agencies to resolve network service issues. • Creates and maintains reporting procedures for security incidences. • Directs or conducts investigations concerning security violations or infractions of policy; coordinates with law enforcement agencies as needed. • Develops and maintains relationships with government and local industry security associates and law enforcement personnel; develops and maintains relationships with outside vendors and contractors. • Prepares all required reports and correspondence. • Keeps up to date on the overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Department of Defense and Air Force security regulations/procedures. • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills • Ability to manage priorities and workflow • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing • priorities with enthusiasm • Proficient in MS Office • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills. • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions • Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies. • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various • backgrounds.

Experience

• Three to five years related experience or equivalent.
