Summary

The Media Communications Specialist role involves creating, reviewing, and producing media products to ensure consistent and accurate outward messaging for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The Media Communications Specialist plays a crucial role in shaping the visual and messaging strategy of AFRL/RS.

Responsibilities

• Creates, edits, and finalizes media products using applications like PowerPoint, Word, and other relevant tools to communicate AFRL/RS messaging effectively. • Works with AFRL/RS leadership to capture, document, and archive outward messaging and update campaign messaging as needed. • Designs engaging visual content, including animations, motion graphics, and renderings, for both online and print formats, adhering to established branding guidelines. • Supports the design and procurement of marketing materials for events and recruitment, ensuring they align with AFRL branding. • Provides a variety of graphic services, including the creation of custom artwork, signs, posters, and brochures, and integrates multimedia products into displays. • Utilizes graphic design tools and principles, creativity, and the ability to produce high-quality visual content that supports the organization’s communication and marketing efforts. • Manages media plan development within prescribed budgets and schedules. • Develops and oversees media strategies and recommendations. • Researches, evaluates, and analyses appropriate media vehicles; prepares reports and recommendations based on analysis. • Prepares and presents media plans to management. • Develops and maintains knowledge of trends, innovations, and opportunities to improve and/or adjust media sources. • Monitors and evaluates media advertising results; prepares reports and recommends changes. • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
